Puddle of Mudd is an American rock band formed in Kansas City, Missouri, in 1991. Their success is primarily attributed to frontman Wes Scantlin, who had already composed several songs during his previous musical experience with a band of the same name. After releasing two minor albums, *Stuck* (1994) and *Abrasive* (1997), Scantlin sent a demo to Fred Durst of Limp Bizkit, who helped him form the new Puddle of Mudd lineup.
