Maya (born in 2008) is an Italian singer-songwriter who has gained international attention for her early talent. At just six years old, she released a cover album of Zucchero Fornaciari, demonstrating a particular aptitude for rock and funk. Since then, she has collaborated with several Roman bands and world-renowned singers like Lorenzo Meinardi. In 2019, she became the youngest singer-songwriter to reach global charts with her single "Amici Come Me". The song was a huge success in Italy and abroad, reaching American radio stations as well. Maya participated in important music competitions such as Castrocaro (with the song "La Storia di Ali", written by herself) and European Music Contest (with "Non Resterò Sola"), accompanied by her band "Maya e la Profezia", composed of high-level professionals like Gianni Foti, Luca Ingletti, Enrico Spine and Alberto Sorrentino. Besides singing, Maya plays electric bass, electric guitar and ukulele, an instrument she started playing at the age of three.
