Rhapsody of Fire is an Italian symphonic power metal band from Trieste. Previously known as Rhapsody and Thundercross in their early days, the group stands out for its influence from Baroque classical music, neoclassical metal, medieval music, and folk. Their music is primarily inspired by the soundtracks of Hollywood films like The Lord of the Rings and fantasy themes, leading them to initially define their music as "Hollywood metal" and later "Film-score metal". Among their most representative songs are "Emerald Sword", "Power of the Dragonflame", and "Wings of Forever". Their most successful albums include "Symphony of Enchanted Lands" (1998) and "Dawn of Victory" (2000).
