Tormentor è un gruppo di black metal ungherese formatosi nel 1985. Considerati una delle band più influenti del genere in Europa orientale, hanno contribuito a definire l'estetica e il sound del black metal classico con sonorità grezze e primitive. Dopo un periodo di pausa tra il 1991 e il 1999, la band ha ripreso le attività musicali pubblicando nuovi album e continuando a esibirsi in festival e tour internazionali.
