Tormentor is a Hungarian black metal band formed in 1985. Considered one of the most influential bands in Eastern European black metal, they contributed to defining the aesthetics and sound of classic black metal with their raw and primitive sounds. After a hiatus between 1991 and 1999, the band resumed musical activities, releasing new albums and continuing to perform at festivals and international tours. Among their most representative songs are "The Darkest Hour", "Blood and Fire" and "Tormentor". Their debut album "Anno Domini 1984" (1987) is considered a classic of the black metal genre, while "Unholy Sacrifice" (1990) cemented their position within the underground scene.
