The Scorpions are a German hard rock and heavy metal band formed in Hannover in 1965 by guitarist Rudolf Schenker. After several lineup changes, the definitive lineup was established in the 1970s with the addition of vocalist Klaus Meine, bassist Francis Buchholz, and drummer Herman Rarebell.
