Born Ruffians are a Canadian indie rock band formed in 2004 in Midland, Ontario, near Georgian Bay. Currently signed to Warp Records, the group consists of Luke LaLonde (guitar/vocalist), Mitch Derosier (bass) and Steven Hamelin (drums). Their sound is characterized by a mix of punk energy, catchy melodies and introspective lyrics. Among their most representative songs are "Red Light", "The Ballad of the Broken Heart" and "Come On Over". In 2007 they released their debut album "Birthmarks", followed by "RUFF" in 2010.
