Crimson Glory is an American heavy metal band formed in 1982 in Tampa, Florida. Considered pioneers of progressive metal, they achieved a certain popularity in the 1980s and 1990s with albums like *Transcendence* (1986) and *Strange and Beautiful* (1988). Their sound is characterized by elaborate melodies, heavy metal riffs and a clear progressive influence. Midnight's voice, the band's singer, was one of the most recognizable in the metal scene of the time. After several lineup changes, Crimson Glory disbanded in 1992.
