Angela Kinczly is an Italian singer-songwriter born and raised in Brescia. Despite her surname hinting at Hungarian origins, her music reflects a wide range of influences, spanning from electronic to folk, passing through jazz. She began studying music as a child with clarinet and guitar, graduating in classical guitar from the local conservatory. After attending various musical experiences, including rock cellars, chamber ensembles and marching bands, she starts writing songs on her own and performing in duo with guitarist Maurizio Rinaldi. In 2007, she released her debut album, "The Legendary Indian Aquarium and Other Stories", produced by Isacco Zanola for Kandinsky Records. The album received excellent reviews and was labeled 'electrofolk' for its blend of genres and idioms. Promotional activities mainly focus on concerts in the indie circuit and interviews for radio and newspapers. In 2008, Robert Kirby, collaborator of Nick Drake, wrote an orchestral arrangement of Angela's song "Jane's Choice", performed during a tribute evening to Drake with the orchestra conducted by Kirby himself. In 2009, she embarked on a new creative phase thanks to the meeting with Stefano Castagna (Ritmo and Blu), leading to the release of the EP "Phoenix" in 2010. The album marks a turning point with Italian lyrics and collaborations with various musicians. Angela also collaborates with Aucan, writing and performing "Blurred" for their album "Black Rainbow". In 2012, she released her second album, a unique story told through 14 songs.
