Renan Luce is a French singer-songwriter born in Paris in 1978. After studying music at the Paris Conservatory, he began his musical career in the 1990s with the indie rock group "Les Ogres de Barback". In 2004, he released his first solo album, "Le Grand Jeu", which was a great success in France. Luce is known for his catchy melodies and poetic lyrics that often deal with themes of love, loss, and nostalgia. Among his most famous songs are "Laisse-moi t'aimer", "Je te promets" and "Le Chant des Oiseaux". His musical style is a mix of French pop, folk and chanson, influenced by artists like Jacques Brel and Serge Gainsbourg. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with numerous French artists, including Camille and Alain Souchon.
