We dumpin your Roley pop loose and we ain't even want it
Niggaz hearts get took, and that's how we on it
Put that bullshit to rest, and never dwell on it
Got me sittin on the toilet, takin a shit
With my gun in my hand cause a nigga cautious
Got the hammer on me, gettin searched by police
Takin chances, I'd rather that than be a lawsuit
In the jungle they pick opportunities to touch you
Send you home horizontal in a box comfortable

Leave my mark in your town from that thing on my hip

Mobb Deep was an American hip hop duo formed by rappers Havoc (Jason Irvine) and Prodigy (Albert Johnson). Active from 1990 until Prodigy's death in 2017, they are considered pillars of the Golden Era of East Coast hip hop. Their musical style is characterized by raw, realistic lyrics about life in the streets of Queensbridge, New York, and dark, atmospheric productions. Their debut album *Juvenile Hell* (1993) introduced the world to their distinctive sound. However, it was their second album, *The Infamous* (1995), that cemented them as icons of the genre. With tracks like «Shook Ones (Part II)» and «Survival of the Fittest», Mobb Deep defined the sonic aesthetic of East Coast hip hop in the 1990s. After *The Infamous*, the duo continued to release successful albums, including *Hell on Earth* (1996) and *Murda Muzik* (2000). Prodigy also pursued a solo career, releasing several albums. Prodigy's untimely death in 2017 marked the end of Mobb Deep, leaving a void in the hip hop landscape.

My favorite group when I was just a teenager were the Fugees, thanks to them a certain curiosity about english language was born in me. I wanted to know and understand the lyrics of their songs, it wasn't enough for me to be carried away exclusively by their beautiful music.
