Paolo Maria Jannacci (Milan, March 19, 1940) is an Italian singer-songwriter, composer, arranger, and musician. Son of a well-known Milanese doctor and brother of the famous singer Enzo Jannacci, Paolo began his musical career in the 1960s as a keyboardist for various bands. Throughout the 1970s, he established himself as a singer-songwriter with a repertoire characterized by ironic and melancholic lyrics, often focused on everyday life in Milan. Among his most famous songs are "My Friend", "The Song of the Sun" and "Milan Milan". Jannacci has collaborated with numerous Italian artists, including Mina, Ornella Vanoni and Lucio Dalla.
