Biografia

Eugenio Bennato is an Italian singer-songwriter, musician, and composer born in Naples in 1946. Considered one of the pillars of Italian popular music, he embarked on a successful musical career in the 1970s and 1980s, characterized by poetic lyrics and original melodies that have captivated a wide and passionate audience. Bennato is known for his introspective songwriting style and innovative use of musical instruments, including the mandolin, acoustic guitar, and piano. Among his most important albums are "Sponda Sud" (1978), "Mille e una notte fa" (1980) and "Collection" (1983). Bennato has collaborated with numerous prominent artists, including Francesco De Gregori and Roberto Vecchioni. Some of his most representative songs are: "Da Lontano", "Le città di mare", "La mia casa è nel vento".
