Cabrio, real name Angelo Soraci, is an Italian singer-songwriter and author born in Messina in 1987. He developed a passion for music from a young age: at six years old he participated in the Zecchino d'Oro auditions and learned to play the guitar by himself. Over the years, he has distinguished himself in musical competitions, winning the national Musicando award with the choir I Mirabili and reaching the semi-finals of the Cantagiro in 2014. In the same year, he participated in Sanremo Giovani with the song "Pensa", then returning to the Festival in 2015 with "Piccola (ma che storia è mai questa?)". In 2017, he received the Premio Internazionale Artista dell'Anno Cristoforo Colombo in the Emerging Songwriters category. In 2016, he released his first self-produced EP, "Pensa". Among his most significant collaborations are those with Ricky Portera (guitarist of Lucio Dalla and founder of Stadio) in the song "Io ci voglio credere" and with Maurizio Musumeci aka Dinastia, with whom he wrote "Fly", a reggae song with hip hop influences. The Spanish version of "Fly", released in 2018 with the participation of the Galician singer-songwriter Ricky Hombre Libre, was broadcast in Spain, USA and Latin America, reaching the top ten indie Italian charts for over ten weeks. In 2019, he presented "Penso a lei", the first single from his new EP, at the Area Sanremo semi-finals. The song is part of the Maionese Project by Matilde Dischi and is included in the Spotify Musica Randagia playlist. In 2019, he also released "L'anello sul tavolo" and a special cover version of "Il grande Mazinga". Alongside his musical career, Angelo Soraci has hosted radio programs and published poetry collections.
