C'est jeune et ça n'sait pas

Je passais au parc Monceau
Quand j' vis un pauv' marmot
Que sa nourrice farouche
Sans aucune pitié fessait
Parce que le pauvre avait
Fait pipi dans sa couche
Indigné, je bondis
Et prenant mon accent l' plus doux
Gentiment je lui dis
"Voyons, nounou !

C'est jeune et ça n' sait pas {x2}
À quatre mois, un bébé ne peut pas savoir
Qu'il peut y avoir
Des isoloirs
C'est jeune et ça n' sait pas {x2}
Avant de lui apprendre à lire
Apprenez-lui donc à retenir
C'est jeune et ça n' sait pas !"

Sur un banc un peu plus loin
Je croise un collégien
Et une midinette
Qui, tendrement amoureux
Faisaient, faisaient tous deux
Autre chose que la dînette
Voyant venir un agent
J' lui criai "Soyez indulgent
N' troublez pas ces jeunes gens
Au bon moment

C'est jeune et ça n' sait pas {x2}
Je comprendrais que vous dressiez contravention
Si ce garçon usait l' gazon
C'est jeune et ça n' sait pas {x2}
Mettez alors, c'est plus prudent
"Défense de marcher" sur les bancs
C'est jeune et ça n' sait pas !"
Plus loin, je vois un conscrit
Braillant à moitié gris
D'une voix patriotique
"J' suis appelé sous les drapeaux
Vive l'armée Maginot
Et vive la République !"
Je pensais "Pauv' petit
Il ne comprend pas ce qu'il dit
Il chantera moins gaiement
Au régiment"

C'est jeune et ça n' sait pas {x2}
Peut-il soupçonner qu'on va, pauvre enfant naïf,
Sans qu'il se rebiffe
Couper ses tifs ?
C'est jeune et ça n' sait pas {x2}
Il ne trouvera plus ça si drôle
Quand i' sera arme sur l'épaule
C'est jeune et ça n' sait pas !

Après ça, j' vis un marié
Qui, sautant d' son coupé
Se flanque le nez par terre
Car la mariée avait pris
Le pan de son habit
En plein dans la portière
Comprenant son courroux
J' m'approchai du nouvel époux
Et j' lui dis "Calmez-vous
Car entre nous

C'est jeune et ça n' sait pas {x2}
Cette enfant n' peut pas s' douter, dans son cœur puéril
Qu' ça n' tient, fragile
Que par un fil
C'est jeune et ça n' sait pas {x2}
Elle n'a pris qu'un pan, c'est heureux
Elle pouvait vous couper les deux
C'est jeune et ça n' sait pas !"

Dans un port américain
Sorel, l'autre matin
Saute du débarcadère
Avec un chapeau marquis
Un suivez-moi yankee
Une robe de Bayadère
Et tout le long, le long
Et tout le long du Missouri
Les indigènes criaient
Tous ahuris

"C'est jeune et ça n' sait pas {x2}
Elle a dû faire faire ça par une p'tite couturière
Datant, ma chère
Du temps d' Molière
C'est jeune et ça n' sait pas {x2}
Pourquoi Cécile s'habille-t-elle
Comme jadis Agnès Sorel ?
C'est jeune et ça n' sait pas !"

L'autre jour à Monaco
Je vis au casino
Jouant au Trente et Quarante
Des dames d'un âge un peu mûr
Qui en avaient, pour sûr,
Plus de trente et quarante
Devant toutes ces bobines
Je me demandai pourquoi ces ruines
Sont tellement obstinées
À se ruiner

C'est jeune et ça n' sait pas {x2}
J'ai peur qu'après avoir perdu leur dernière mise
Elles ne s'avisent
D' perdre leur chemise !
C'est jeune et ça n' sait pas {x2}
Quelle figure va faire le croupier
Quand elles vont perdre leur râtelier !
C'est jeune et ça n' sait pas !
