I Primo Atto di Secessione sono una band dell'Oristanese formatasi nell'inverno 2020 dalle ceneri dei The Defiance, nota band sarda alternative rock. Il bassista Fabio Manca, il batterista Mirko Rossi e il cantante Filippo Sanna decidono di focalizzarsi su un nuovo progetto in italiano. È proficua la scelta di lavorare con il chitarrista Daniele Mereu, ex componente dei WhiuWhiu!!, ovvero un'altra nota band del cagliaritano. Una solida amicizia nonché esperienze da palcoscenico accomunano gli attuali componenti dei Primo Atto di Secessione. Dopo una lunga fase di pre-produzione, nel 2023, il primo lavoro discografico prende forma: Giuseppe Aledda, ex componente del duo elettronico sperimentale cagliaritano Katsudoji, si aggiunge ai quattro come produttore e polistrumentista nelle sessioni di registrazione. L'EP d'esordio, composto da cinque brani è stato registrato e mixato presso lo Whistle Recording Studio di Assemini (CA) da Simone Orrù e vedrà la luce a dicembre 2024. Il titolo sarà "Atto Primo". I Primo Atto di Secessione si lanciano in questa nuova avventura alternative rock dalle tinte post-grunge, con un occhio sempre attento alle nuove sonorità d'oltremare e proiettati verso i lavori futuri che già sono in fase di lavorazione.
