Sid Vicious, pseudonimo di Simon John Ritchie (Londra, 10 maggio 1957 – Londra, 2 febbraio 1979), è stato un bassista e cantante britannico, noto per essere stato il membro dei Sex Pistols dal 1977 al 1979. Nonostante una carriera musicale breve e segnata da problemi personali, Vicious è diventato un'icona del movimento punk rock grazie al suo stile di vita anarchico e alla sua immagine provocatoria. Prima di entrare nei Sex Pistols, Vicious era un semplice fan della band e lavorava come commesso in un negozio di dischi. Dopo l'uscita di Glen Matlock dal gruppo, Vicious fu scelto per sostituirlo, pur non avendo alcuna esperienza musicale formale. La sua presenza nel gruppo contribuì a rafforzare l'immagine punk dei Sex Pistols, caratterizzata da musica aggressiva e testi provocatori contro la società. Vicious partecipò alla registrazione dell'album "Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols", considerato uno dei dischi più importanti del movimento punk.
