Antonella Ruggiero (Naples, 1952) is an Italian singer-songwriter and musician. She is known for her powerful and versatile voice, which ranges from pop to jazz, passing through progressive rock. She began her career in the 1970s as a member of the group Matia Bazar, with whom she achieved great international success. After leaving the group in 1986, she embarked on a successful solo career, releasing albums such as "Sospesa", "Sacrarmonia Live" and "Big Band". In 2003 she participated in the Sanremo Music Festival with the song "Antonella Ruggiero". Among her most representative songs are "Ti sento", "Il mio canto libero" and "La notte dei desideri". Ruggiero is considered one of the most important voices in contemporary Italian music.
