Stevie Ray Vaughan (1954-1990) è stato un chitarrista blues texano considerato uno dei più grandi talenti del genere nel XX secolo. Nato a Dallas, Texas, dimostrò fin da giovane una straordinaria abilità musicale, influenzato da artisti come Albert King e Jimi Hendrix. Nel 1983 formò la band Double Trouble con il bassista Tommy Shannon e il batterista Chris Layton. Il loro album di debutto "Texas Flood" (1983) ottenne un immediato successo critico e commerciale, consacrando Vaughan come una nuova stella del blues moderno.
