Pat Monahan (born Patrick Timon Monahan) is an American singer-songwriter, musician, and actor, best known as the frontman of the rock band Train. Born in San Francisco, California, in 1970, Monahan began his musical career at the age of 16. In 1993, he founded Train with Rob Hotchkiss, Jimmy Stafford, and Scott Underwood. The band achieved international success with albums such as "Drops of Jupiter" (2001) and "For Me, for You" (2003), characterized by pop-rock sounds with folk and blues influences. Among the most famous songs by Pat Monahan and Train are "Drops of Jupiter", "Hey, Soul Sister", "If It's Love", "Calling All Angels", and "Give It Away". Besides music, Monahan has acted in films and TV series such as "CSI: Miami" and "The O.C.".
