Jaguares is a Mexican alternative rock band formed in 1995 by Saúl Hernández, former lead singer of Caifanes, after the band's breakup due to personal differences with guitarist Alejandro Marcovich. Hernández founded the group alongside Alfonso Andre (drums), both former members of Caifanes, and his friends Federico Fong (bass) and José Manuel Aguilera (guitar). Jaguares achieved great success in Mexico and Latin America with a sound characterized by catchy melodies, introspective lyrics, and energetic rock arrangements. Some of their most famous songs include "Un Mundo Ideal", "La Chica de la Foto" and "El Camino del Sol".
