Holy water won't help you now!
Here I lie, when it promised me death
On my last breath
Short changed
So show some backbone
Keep a bad dog with you and the others won't bite
Damn what's done
It's been done already
Keep it steady!
Here I come and hell is coming with me
Heart is black, body is blue
Nights I've empathized drowning with you!
You raise up
My cup
Defeat does not exist!
Desperate times
Call for desperate measures
Go ahead and pour that gasoline
Desperate times
Call for desperate measures
Nothing's certain but the unforeseen
If you think I'll bendYou're sadly mistaken
Desperate times
Call for desperate measures
Because I could not stop for death
It kindly stopped for me!
The carriage held but just ourselves
Alongside rode immortality...
You tend to choose your poison
Here I lie when it promised me death on my last breath
Defeat does not exist!
Desperate times
Call for desperate measures
Desperate!
DevilDriver is an American heavy metal band from Santa Barbara, California. Formed in 2002, the group features Dez Fafara, former vocalist of Coal Chamber, who, dissatisfied with the musical direction taken by his previous band, met some musicians with similar interests during a barbecue and a night at the bar. Fafara, along with guitarists Evan Pitts and Jeff Kendrick, bassist Jon Miller, and drummer John Boecklin, initially formed Deathride. Due to copyright issues and the name already being used by several bands, the group changed its name to DevilDriver, a reference to the bells used by Italian witches to ward off evil forces.

My favorite group when I was just a teenager were the Fugees, thanks to them a certain curiosity about english language was born in me. I wanted to know and understand the lyrics of their songs, it wasn't enough for me to be carried away exclusively by their beautiful music.
