a m’ai detta tante volte
cusì pigliendumi a manu
è quand ella vene a notte
a mi cunfessi pianu pianu
a m’ai scritta nantu à un fogliu
a mare scemu à mare d’oliu
u nostru portu era quallà
è noi dui à navicà
a m’ai ghjurata più forte
quandu a speranza mancava
ch’elle eranu chjose le porte
è ch’ella era longa la strada
a sai
chì mai
s’è tù mi voli dì
s’è tù mi voli dì
s’è tù mi voli sì
di quale sì l’amore
u fiore u secretu chì và
di quale sì l’amore
u fiore u tesoru quallà
è nantu à un scornu di ritrattu
u filu di a to scrittura
« ti tengu caru » da cuntrattu
« à sempre » cum’è signatura
o pè accumpagnà la vita
a gioia è po l’acqua salita
ùn ti ne stanchi di fiurì
u nostru mondu à culurì
è pè assulià ne l’ore
duve lu batte lu mio core
mai ne dormenu e stelle
hè troppu dolce la to pelle
a sai
chì mai
s’è tù mi voli dì
s’è tù mi voli dì
di quale sì l’amore
u fiore u secretu chì và
di quale sì l’amore
u fiore u tesoru quallà
s’è tù mi voli dì
s’è tù mi voli dì …

De qui es-tu l’amour ?
tu me l’as dit souvent
prenant ma main ainsi
lorsque s’en vient la nuit
tu me l’avoues doucement
tu l’as écrit sur une page
en mer folle
en mer sage
vers notre port au loin
à naviguer sans fin
tu me l’as juré plus fort
d’une espérance encore
face aux portes fermées
au long chemin tracé
tu sais
si à jamais
si tu voulais
si tu voulais me dire
de qui es-tu
l’amour
la fleur
le secret qui va
l’amour
la fleur
le trésor là-bas
à l’angle d’un portrait
tes mots ton écriture
« je t’aime » un serment fait
« pour toujours » ta signature
et pour accompagner la vie
la joie
l’eau saline aussi
tu fleuris sans te lasser
notre monde à colorier
pour enluminer les heures
de ce côté où bat mon cœur
où les étoiles n’en dorment pas
ta peau si douce contre moi
si tu voulais
si tu voulais me dire
de qui es-tu
l’amour
la fleur
le secret qui va
l’amour
la fleur
le trésor là-bas
si tu voulais
si tu voulais me dire …
I Muvrini are a Corsican musical group formed by the brothers Alanu and Ghijvan Francescu Bernardini, originally from the small village of Tagliu-Isulaccia in northern Corsica. Growing up in an environment rich in musical traditions, the two learned the local polyphonies from a young age thanks to their father, a poet and singer. They began performing on makeshift stages, singing Corsican folk songs. Initially, they recorded some 45s with the group "Cantu U Populu Corsu", at the request of Ghijvan's father, who had founded the formation. In 1977, the sudden death of their father, a man who dreamed of a free Corsica, pushed the brothers to embark on an artistic path with a precise purpose: to spread Corsican culture and traditions, promote the cause of an independent nation, and protect the beauty of the island. I Muvrini have achieved international fame thanks to their original music that blends traditional elements with modern influences, becoming a symbol of Corsican cultural resistance.

My favorite group when I was just a teenager were the Fugees, thanks to them a certain curiosity about english language was born in me. I wanted to know and understand the lyrics of their songs, it wasn't enough for me to be carried away exclusively by their beautiful music.
