Of course
Were miles away from home
We sink like stones
And were lost beneath the waves
Not a trace to mark the graves
Lost and tired
And chained
Of course
We plan the great escape
We drag our fate around the razor wire
But our fear keeps us in line
(chorus)
Turn me inside out this time
Looking back the place that I come from
Disappeared
Turn my face
To the place where I go into the sun
Disappear into the sun
Lost and tired
And chained
I know
What sleeps inside my heart
Theres a path that starts
With a single step at dawn
Though the road goes on and on
*chorus*
(deep inside a song a thousand miles away)**
(every moment the start of a greater day)**
(running to a field a world well find)**
And now
The time has come for me
I must break free
From the prison I have made
And to face the way ahead
*chorus*
Disappear into the sun
Disappear into the sun
Sunny Day Real Estate is an American musical group formed in 1992 in Aberdeen, Washington. Considered pioneers of the emo rock genre, they have profoundly influenced the indie music scene of the 1990s and beyond. The band, composed of Jeremy Enigk (vocals, guitar), Dan Hoerner (guitar), Nate Mendel (bass) and William Goldsmith (drums), is known for its music characterized by intricate melodies, introspective lyrics and a sound rich in melancholic atmospheres. After the success of their debut album "Smells Like Teen Spirit" (1994), they released two other highly successful albums: "Daylight" (1995) and "How It Feels To Be Something On" (1997). In 2001, after a world tour, the band disbanded. In 2009, Sunny Day Real Estate returned with a reunion tour that was a huge success. Although they have not released new material since then, they continue to be considered one of the most influential bands in the emo rock genre.
