Steve Perry (born Stephen Ray Perry on January 21, 1949) is an American singer, musician, and songwriter best known as the lead vocalist of the rock band Journey from 1977 to 1987. Perry helped make Journey one of the most popular rock bands of the 1980s with hits like «Don't Stop Believin'», «Any Way You Want It» and «Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)». His powerful and melodic voice, characterized by a wide vocal range, became iconic. After leaving Journey in 1987, Perry embarked on a successful solo career with albums such as «Street Talk» (1984) and «For the Love of Strange Medicine» (1994). In 2017, Perry reunited with the original members of Journey for a world tour. Some of his most representative songs: «Don't Stop Believin'», «Open Arms», «Faithfully».
