Morgan Heritage is a roots reggae musical group formed in New York in 1994 by eight of the twenty-nine children of Denroy Morgan, a Jamaican artist known for his reggae and soul style. Raised in Jamaica within the Rastafarian culture, the brothers inherited their passion for music from their father and began performing at a young age. Their sound is characterized by rhythmic melodies, spiritual lyrics, and a clear influence of classic roots reggae. Among their most representative songs are "Protect Ya Neck", "Down By The River" and "I Can Feel It". Morgan Heritage has won numerous Grammy Awards in the Best Reggae Album category, solidifying its position as one of the most influential reggae bands of recent years.
