Los Lobos is a Chicano Mexican-American musical group formed in Los Angeles in 1973. Their sound, deeply rooted in rock music, incorporates influences of country, folk, R and B, and blues. The band achieved international fame thanks to their cover of "La Bamba", the soundtrack of the 1987 film dedicated to Ritchie Valens, a singer who died prematurely. Los Lobos is composed of David Hidalgo (vocals, guitar), Louie Pérez (guitar, vocals), Cesar Rosas (bass, vocals), Conrad Lozano (accordion, keyboards) and Steve Berlin (saxophone, percussion).
