The Berzerker were an Australian grindcore/death metal band from Melbourne. Active from 1998 to 2016, they characterized their music with a fusion of death metal, industrial and speedcore, enriched by elements of gabber and techno. Frontman Luke Kenny described the band's style as "industrial death metal". A distinctive element was the use of a distorted Roland TR-909 instead of a traditional drum kit. Among the most representative songs are "The Berzerker", "Death of the Weak" and "Bloodlust". The debut album, "The Berzerker", dates back to 2001.
