Fire on babylon live version 1997

This should be played at high volume
Preferably in a residential area

She took my father from my life
Took my sisters and brothers on
I watched her torturing my child
Feeble i was then but now i'm grown

Fire on babylon
Oh yes the change has come
Fire on babylon
Fire, oh

She's taken everything i liked
She's taken every lover on
And all along she gave me lies
Just to make me think i loved her

Fire on babylon
Oh yes the change has come
Fire on babylon
Fire, oh

Life's backwards life backwards
People turn around
The house is burned the house is burned
The children are gone

Fire, fire
Fire on babylon
Oh yes the change has come
Fire on babylon
Fire, fire oh, fire oh
Fire

Move out to babylon rasta man
And leave all the wicked men -yes-
Move out to babylon rasta man
And leave all the wicked men
Now wicked shall not prosper -no-
Only righteous man shell enter
In the kingdom of jaweh the almighty
In the kingdom of jaweh the almighty

So move out to babylon rasta man
And leave all the wicked men

I'm gonna swim in the deep blue
Yes, i am swimming in the deep blue
Yes, i am coming for you jaweh, jaweh

Swimming in the deep blue
Yes, i am swimming in the deep blue
Yes, i am coming for you jaweh, jaweh

Swimming in the deep blue
Yes, i am swimming in the deep blue
I know i am loving for you jaweh, jaweh

Swimming in the deep blue
Yes, i am swimming in the deep blue
Yes, i am coming for you jaweh, jaweh

Swimming in the deep blue
Yes, i am swimming in the deep blue
I know i am loving for you jaweh, jaweh

Biografia

Sinéad Marie Bernadette O'Connor (Dublin, December 8, 1966 – London, July 26, 2023) was an Irish singer-songwriter of international fame. Known for her powerful voice and musical style that blended elements of pop, rock, folk, and traditional Irish music, O'Connor reached the peak of popularity in the 1990s with albums like "The Lion and the Cobra" (1987) and "I Do Not Want What I Haven't Got" (1990). The latter, featuring the iconic single "Nothing Compares 2 U", sold over 10 million copies worldwide. Her career was marked by controversial moments, such as the destruction of a portrait of the Pope during a televised performance in 1992, which earned her both hostility and admiration. Despite the controversies, O'Connor continued to release music until the end of her life, exploring new musical genres and addressing social and political issues in her songs. In 2017 she legally changed her name to Magda Davitt and in 2018 converted to Islam, taking the name Shuhada' Sadaqat.
