Laura Pausini (Faenza, May 16, 1974) is an Italian singer and songwriter considered one of the most influential pop artists internationally. Her career began in 1993 with her victory at the Sanremo Music Festival in the Newcomers category thanks to the song «La solitudine», which became a global hit. Pausini conquered the international music market, recording songs in Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, English and French.
