In jedem Monat kommen mehr Menschen
neu auf diese Welt,
als in New York zuhause sind.
Aber wir wollen das nicht wissen,
noch ist es nicht unser Problem,
und was uns nicht berührt,
das geht uns auch nichts an.
Wenn wir es merken, wird es zu spät sein.
Wo die Menschen am ärmsten sind,
vermehren sie sich am schnellsten.
Es ist schon jetzt zu wenig Platz auf dieser Erde.
Und es wird immer weniger Platz sein.
Nicht Kriege, Seuchen und Naturkatastrophen,
es sind die Menschen selbst,
die ihren Lebensraum vernichten.
Wer die Umwelt schützen will,
der muß die Welt bewahren:
Fünf Milliarden sind genug!
Hurra, die 5. Milliarde ist voll!
Und die Bild-Zeitung jubelt: "Ist das nicht toll?"
Neuer Geburtenweltrekord!
Lieb' deinen Nächsten und pflanze dich fort!
Jetzt wird dem Hunger der Welt vorgebeugt!

Und da hat einer gütige Hände
und ein gutes, kluges Gesicht,
aber denkt er das Diesseits zuende,
wenn er vom Jenseits spricht?
Kondom tabu und Pille verpönt -
