HIM (His Infernal Majesty) is a Finnish gothic rock band formed in Helsinki in 1995 by Ville Valo (vocals), Mikko Lindström (guitar) and Mikko Paananen (bass). The name HIM, which could derive from the previous band name His Infernal Majesty, was adopted after the single "Wicked Game", a cover of Chris Isaak's hit.
