REO Speedwagon is an American rock band formed in Champaign, Illinois, at the end of the 1960s. The name comes from an old American stagecoach that transported goods and passengers. The original lineup included Kevin Cronin (vocals), Neal Doughty (keyboards), Gary Richrath (guitar), Bruce Hall (bass) and Alan Gratzer (drums). Throughout the 1970s, the band went through several stylistic phases, moving from hard rock to progressive rock.
