(Music--Kim Mitchell/Lyrics--Pye DuBois)
Tomorrow don't be here today / take a cruise take a holiday
Cold morning and the drums / blue eyes in the window sun
C--i don't feel you but i know you're around
i can feel you cause i feel the sound
cold morning and the drums / blue eyes in the window sun
alka seltzer, tang and a 50 / it's all over / hangover
It's getting warmer
It's controlling my mind
It's coming closer
I'm biding my time
Double vision when the bars close down
Double vision when the bars close down
My legs are weak
Her arms are strong
The door is open
The stairs are steep
The room is near
But oh so far
The lights are round
But so are the stars--C
You got a hangover?
I got a hangover
Max Webster were a Canadian progressive rock band active from 1973 to 1982. Various lineups saw Kim Mitchell as lead vocalist, accompanied by Pye Dubois (guitar), Gerry James (bass) and Neil Landon (drums). The band's name derives from a song by Daryl Stuermer titled "Song for Webster", where Mitchell played guitar. The song was inspired by saxophonist Ben Webster. Max Webster achieved considerable success in Canada with albums like "Max Webster" (1976) and "Universal Juveniles" (1978), characterized by progressive sounds, hard rock influences and poetic lyrics. Among their most representative songs are "The Stars Are Blind", "Gimme A Little Sign", "A Million Miles Away" and "I'm Not The One". After the band's dissolution, Kim Mitchell continued his musical career with success.
