Guano Apes is a German rock band formed in Göttingen in 1990 by Henning Rümenapp (guitar), Dennis Poschwatta (bass) and Stefan Ude (drums). In 1994, Sandra Nasic joined the band as vocalist. The band achieved international success with their debut album *Proud Like a God* (1997), which includes the singles "Open Your Eyes", "Keep Me Closer" and "No More".
