"Frencio & Masi" nascono dall'incontro tra Francesco "Frencio" Fecondo (seconda voce e compositore nel progetto VIDRA - www.vidraofficial.com) e Antonino "Masi" Masilotti (poeta e attore, leader del duo "Le Lingue di S.a.d.e."). Dopo la collaborazione negli spettacoli teatral-musicali "R.ae.D - Requiem aeternam dona2, S|Pace ? monologo a due voci" e "Moby Dick, l'Oceano e i relitti musicali", il duo scopre la comune passione per i dischi "bianchi" di Lucio Battisti e realizza un'originale elaborazione del brano "Per altri motivi" (da "L'Apparenza", 1988). Nel dicembre 2011 prende vita il progetto "Fissi Mobili Estetici", un EP sperimentale in cui convergono la scrittura poetica di Antonino, attenta alla valorizzazione dei tratti acustico-fonologici del linguaggio, e la ricerca melodica di Frencio. Gli arrangiamenti, affidati a MauSS (Costume), sviluppano una cornice elettronica che ingloba vibrazioni italodisco e suggestioni funky-rap. L' EP viene presentato in anteprima nazionale sulle onde di Webradionetwork nel programma notturno "BorderNights" (a cura di Fabio Frabetti) nella sezione dedicata a Pasquale Panella e, dal vivo, con un release party in apertura al concerto degli ATARI presso la Mediateca Marte (17esima edizione del Festival Linea D'Ombra). Agli inizi del 2012 "Frencio & Masi" producono il primo brano inedito del nuovo album di Alessandro Orlando Graziano di cui Frencio firma anche le musiche. A settembre il duo inizia a lavorare al debut-album, "Arrivati al punto", con la produzione di FABIO CINTI (uscita prevista per gennaio).
