A Guy Called Gerald, real name Gerald Simpson, is a British record producer and DJ known for his contribution to the birth of acid house in the 1980s. Born in Manchester in 1962, Simpson began his musical career as a member of The Beatmasters, collaborating with artists like The Prodigy. In 1988 he released his debut album "Voodoo", which included the international hit single "Fantasy".
