I Lordi sono una band heavy metal finlandese formatasi nel 1996 a Rovaniemi. Noto per la teatralità horror che caratterizza l'immagine del gruppo e i testi delle canzoni, il nome deriva dal soprannome del cantante Tomi Putaansuu, detto Mr. Lordi. Ogni membro indossa una maschera da mostro e un soprannome, rendendo impossibile vederli senza i costumi di scena. Musicalmente, i Lordi si ispirano all'heavy metal anni '80 di artisti come Alice Cooper, W.A.S.P. e Twisted Sister, con influenze anche dal glam rock.
