Violent Femmes are an American alternative rock/country punk band formed in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in 1980. Composed of Gordon Gano (vocals, guitar), Brian Ritchie (bass, percussion) and Victor DeLorenzo (drums), they achieved international fame with their unique sound that blends elements of folk, blues, and rockabilly.
