Meshuggah sono un gruppo musicale svedese di metal progressivo formatosi ad Umeå nel 1987. La formazione originale comprendeva Jens Kidman (voce), Fredrik Thordendal (chitarra solista) e Tomas Haake (batteria, entrato nel 1990). Mårten Hagström si unì come chitarrista ritmico nel 1993. Il ruolo di bassista è stato ricoperto da diversi musicisti fino al 2004, quando Dick Lövgren ne divenne il membro fisso.
