Ann Wilson is an American singer-songwriter and musician, best known for her powerful voice and work as the lead vocalist of the rock band Heart. Born in Washington state in 1950, Ann began playing music at a young age, forming a duo with her sister Nancy. In 1973, the two sisters founded Heart, which quickly became one of the most popular rock bands of the 1970s and 1980s. Ann Wilson has been recognized for her unique vocal talent, capable of transitioning from high notes to deep registers with ease. Her musical style spans from hard rock to pop-rock, also incorporating folk and blues influences. Among Heart's most representative songs are "Magic Man", "Barracuda" and "Alone". Ann Wilson has collaborated with numerous artists, including Elton John and Slash, and has also released successful solo albums. In 2013 she was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame along with Heart.
