Loreena McKennitt is a Canadian singer-songwriter and musician of international fame, known for her music that blends Celtic, New Age, world music, and folk elements. Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, in 1957, McKennitt began her musical career in the 1980s with a strong influence of Irish folk.
