Hate Eternal è una band di death metal proveniente da Saint Petersburg, in Florida. Fondata nel 1997 dal chitarrista Erik Rutan, la band ha rapidamente guadagnato fama per il suo sound brutale e tecnico, influenzato da gruppi come Morbid Angel e Cannibal Corpse. Rutan, noto anche per le sue collaborazioni con diverse altre band metal, è stato l'unico membro stabile del gruppo fino al 2015. Hate Eternal ha pubblicato sette album in studio, tra cui "Perpetual Reign" (2002), considerato un classico del genere death metal moderno.
