Eric Burdon and The Animals is the name by which the legendary British rock band known as The Animals are recognized today. Formed in Newcastle upon Tyne in 1962, the group originally consisted of Eric Burdon (vocals), Alan Price (keyboards), Hilton Valentine (guitar), Chas Chandler (bass) and John Steel (drums).
