The Once Upon A Time gigs opened with a short, majestic instrumental, before the opening bars of Waterfront started the gig proper. This song has never been released officially, but can be heard at the start of several Once Upon A Time bootlegs.
Mick MacNeil has provided the song's history. It was originally programmed by his roadie Vince Barker on his Kurzweil keyboards. Then Mick took the piece and changed the sounds of the various instruments, ending up with the instrumental that can be heard today.
The song has also been the subject of dispute. Some claim that it resembles Pink Floyd's Time from The Dark Side Of The Moon album. Although the percussion and arrangements of the songs sound similar, the melodies are different.
