Beabaleari is a musical duo formed in 2021 from the artistic union of singer-songwriter Diana Tejera and author Beatrice Tomassetti. The project stands out for its originality, ironic tone and imaginative approach, tackling existential themes with a simple and poetic language that blends science and philosophy. Their songs reflect on humanity's place in the universe, seeking to alleviate uncertainties and anxieties through a search for hope and introspection. Beabaleari's sound is delicate and rhythmic, typical of dream pop, with a fusion of classic songwriting and electronic sounds that evoke distant spaces. In 2022, the first single "Where Do Megalodons Hide" was released, accompanied by an animated video by Marta Cavicchioni. In 2023, two more singles followed, "How a Fish Sleeps" and "Like Water on the Moon", with music videos directed by Giacomo Latorrata. The same year, the duo won the Non War Token Contest, earning a performance at the MEI in Faenza. The fourth single, "Better if Baleari", was chosen for the soundtrack of the Rai Scuola di danza series. Other songs by the duo are included in the soundtracks of documentaries such as Chi vuole parlare d'amore? and Gerri. Beatrice Tomassetti, born in Rome, graduated in Political Science with a focus on International Studies from the University of Rome Tre. After working experiences in theater and film production, she dedicated herself to dramaturgy and music. Diana Tejera, a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and music producer born in Rome to an Andalusian father, began her career with Fiori d'Acqua Dolce and then with the duo Pink! and the band Plastico, winning the San Marino Festival in 2002. After a successful solo career rich in collaborations (Tiziano Ferro, Paola Turci), she dedicated herself to writing for cinema and musical theater. In 2018, she released the album "Mi fingo distratta" with ED MONDO, a duo with trumpeter Ersilia Prosperi.
