Victor Lemonte Wooten is an American bassist born in 1964 in Shelbyville, Tennessee. Considered one of the greatest bassists of all time, Wooten has achieved international fame for his virtuosic technique, innovative style, and deep musical sensibility. He began playing bass at the age of 7, influenced by his father who was a gospel musician. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with artists such as Béla Fleck, Les Claypool, and Steve Vai, also forming the jazz fusion group V.U. (Victor Wooten Universe). Wooten is known for his ability to combine elements of funk, jazz, rock, and classical music in his unique style. He has won four Grammy Awards and released numerous successful albums, including "A Show of Hands", "Live in Concert" and "Palmystery". Some of his most representative songs include "The Music is the Answer", "What You Bring to the Table" and "Between the Lines".
