Io dormivo.
Mia madre andava a lavorare presto.
Arrivava l'una ed ero ancora a letto.
Ricordo che mi alzavo, vestivo,
prendevo la borsa con dentro i libri del giorno prima
ed uscivo dalla finestra della mia stanza,
mentre mamma entrava dalla porta.
Mamma si fidava di me.
Una volta andò al ricevimento dei professori,
perchè era una fase politica intensa, assemblee, cose così.
Il docente di agraria era un omone vestito di nero
ultracinquantenne ed anche ultraconservatore.
Ti terrorizzava solo a guardalo.
Lo avevamo ribattezzato, visto l'abito e lo stile,
'KAPPLER'.
«Suo figlio è una brutta persona - le disse -,
non studia niente, non viene mai a scuola
e quando viene fa casino,
sciopera, contesta, sobilla. Stanca.
La scuola a suo figlio non serve.
A suo figlio serve il militare
nella legione straniera.
Ma non pensi che io sia prevenuto,
ho dato quattro compiti in classe
è stato assente a tutti e quattro.
Mancavano tre giorni agli scrutini e gli ho detto:
"Va bene che la scuola borghese e gentiliana non le piace,
ma forse un due prima della maturità
non le piacerebbe neanche quello".
E allora io sono venuto a scuola il pomeriggio,
a 56 anni e quasi alla pensione,
per far fare un compito a suo figlio
che ne ha saltati 4 su 4 in un quadrimestre.
Ha preso otto.
Poi mi ha detto:
"Prof, in pagella mi dà otto?
La media è otto, no?"
Suo figlio, signora,
ha la faccia come il culo!»
Mia madre torna e fa:
«Ragazzo mio, hai qualcosa che non va».
«Kappler, mamma, mi ha dato otto?»
Kappler andò in pensione
tre anni dopo quella maturità.
Morì nel giro di qualche mese.
