Eddy Mitchell, stage name of Claude Lucien Moine (Paris, May 3, 1935), is a French singer-songwriter, guitarist and actor. He began his musical career in the 1960s as a rock and roll singer, influenced by Elvis Presley and Chuck Berry. Over the years he has explored various musical genres, from folk to blues, passing through pop. Among his most famous songs are "Le Vieux Soulier", "La Maison en Petits Cubes" and "J'ai Deux Amours". Mitchell has also been a successful actor, with a career spanning over half a century. In 1996 he won the César Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in the film "Le Dîner de Cons".
