Franco Battiato (Catania, 1945 – Milan, 2021) was an Italian singer-songwriter, composer, musician and director. Considered one of the most influential artists in contemporary Italian music, he crossed several musical genres, from progressive rock to pop, passing through electronic and classical music. His artistic career developed over five decades, marked by a constant stylistic renewal and a deep search for new sounds.
