Yellow Magic Orchestra (YMO) è un gruppo musicale giapponese di musica elettronica formatosi nel 1978 da Haruomi Hosono, Yukihiro Takahashi e Ryuichi Sakamoto. Il gruppo ha rivoluzionato la scena musicale giapponese con l'introduzione di sintetizzatori e sequencer, anticipando le tendenze del synth-pop e dell'elettronica mondiale. Il quarto membro, Hideki Matsutake, è stato fondamentale nella fase iniziale del gruppo come programmatore musicale.
